The School Day – Temporary Change to the School Day due to COVID-19

Summer Term

As you will have read in the ever-changing guidance, we are still expected to stay in ‘bubbles’ that don’t mix from September in order to decrease the amount of people who will have to self-isolate should a case occur in the school. We’ve decided to group in Year bubbles which will mean that lunch-times and play-times will be in year-group bubbles. In addition to this, we’re very concerned about the number of parents who will be in the playground at any one time and, therefore, we have, as per the guidance, decided to stagger start and finish times. We will asking that only one adult per family enters the playground and families are asked to drop off and collect at the following times according to the first letter of MOTHER’S SURNAME:

A-C 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

D-K 8:40 am – 3:10 pm

L-Q 8:50 am – 3:20 pm

R-Z 9:00 am – 9:10 pm

Obviously, teachers will wait if you have 2 or 3 different entrances to collect from in the afternoon so please don’t worry if you can’t get to every entrance at the same time – we understand that there will be time lags but, as long as you’re at one of the entrances on time, we will be happy. Please remember to leave promptly as soon as you have collected all your children

Please see below for entrance and exit points.

Please be advised that Breakfast Club will run as normal from 7:30 am for a cost of £3.00 a day but there will be no admittance after 8:15 am – this has to be a very strict observance owing to the staggered entry system created for the safety of all. Please book your Breakfast Club requirements on sQuid for the second Spring half-term as we must know numbers in order to plan for correct social distancing.
